Together-project (2017-2020) brings elderly and immigrants together around Finland. Older persons and immigrants meet, when immigrants visit elderly care homes and try volunteer work for a day. Project is run in cooperation with the Finnish Center for Easy Language.

We coordinate two programmes: Day as a volunteer, for immigrants in the beginning of their integration or language studies, and a nation-wide I Read to You campaign, where immigrants read easy language literature for the elderly and people with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The campaign originates from the Finnish Center for Easy Language.

In addition, we have produced easy language materials on volunteer work. You can find the publications at our materials. We have also worked in close cooperation with multiple partners to promote inclusion of volunteer work in integration.
