The VALLI´s Trainee Activity for Young People connects the young people (18-30 yo) who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) and the elderly living in carehomes or participating in the activities for the elderly.
The Trainee
- Gives the young people an opportunity to get to know elderly people and elderly work in practice
- Reduces interruption of studies in the field of social and health care
- Takes place in an authentic environment carehomes for the elderly
- Offers the benefits of both peer support and individual support and counceling
- Is nationwide
Participation is possible as work trial but also as a volunteer. Trainee includes different motivating pilots eg . combining technology and social media.
The Trainee started 2013 it is funded by STEA Funding Centre for Social Welfare and Health Organisations
We work in co operation with the member associations of VALLI ry and other organizations providing elderly services.
